Course Overview
CLN4C focuses on providing students with an understanding of Canadian and international law, emphasizing legal rights and responsibilities. Students will explore various legal topics, including criminal law, family law, contract law, and employment law.

Note: OVS has enrollment requirements of 14 days for midterm and 28 days for a final report card.
Fundamental Concepts Covered
By the end of this course, students will:
– Understand the foundations of the Canadian legal system.

– Evaluate family law matters, including marriage and divorce.
– Comprehend the basics of contract law and employment law.
– Explore contemporary legal issues and debates.
Teaching and Learning Strategies in an Online Environment
Various strategies, such as case studies, legal research, online discussions, virtual moot courts, and interactive multimedia, will be employed to engage students in legal concepts and applications.
Assessment & Evaluation
Assessment and evaluation will encompass ongoing evaluations (70%) and a final evaluation (30%), with a variety of assessment methods used throughout the course.
Accommodations for Students with IEP
Accommodations, including extra time, alternative assignments, and accessible learning materials, will be provided to meet the diverse needs of students.
Resources
