    Course Description:
    This course traces the history of Canada, focusing on the evolution of national identity and culture as well as the experiences of diverse communities. Students will examine developments and events from precontact to the present, exploring how historical events have shaped Canadian identity and heritage. Through historical inquiry and analysis of primary and secondary sources, students will develop research, critical thinking, and analytical skills while making connections between past and present. The course prepares students for postsecondary studies in history, law, political science, and social sciences.
