Students will be provided with numerous and varied opportunities to demonstrate the full extent of their achievement of the curriculum expectations, across all four categories of the Achievement Chart. Progress will be monitored on an on-going basis using a variety of assessment tools, including written work, formal testing, quizzes, teacher-student communication, discussion boards and chat rooms.

Welcome to EWC4C: The Writer’s Craft! To succeed, check announcements and calendars regularly, complete writing exercises, journals, and projects on time, and ask questions early when unsure. Review writing techniques, grammar, style, and narrative strategies consistently. Use teacher and peer feedback to revise and improve work, and plan for 1–2 hours of focused writing, reading, and reflection per day. Staying organized, proactive, and engaged will help you succeed in EWC4C and prepare for college programs and real-world writing opportunities.
